Looking Local – KCAM’s Private Collection

Did you know that the KC Automotive Museum has a private collection? While we pride ourselves on being a community-centered space, where Kansas Citians can display their car in a variety of exhibits and events, the KC Automotive Museum also accepts donations of rare and special vehicles. And now is your chance to see some of them in the Drive-in!

From a rare 1960 Edsel to a classic ‘90s Corvette and a one-of-a-kind Lincoln Town Car Limo (formerly owned by Mr Ewing Kauffman!), you’re sure to find something to spark your interest in this month’s display.

The KC Auto Museum’s collection also houses more than just vehicles. Hundreds of books, brochures, manuals, and magazines are stored in our private archive, serving our mission to preserve automotive history. A select number of these items will be on display for the very first time.
