Registration Update: Participant registration is currently full, and we are accepting registrations for the official waitlist. If a registered participant cancels or additional capacity becomes available, families will be contacted in waitlist order. We encourage you to join the waitlist, as spots may become available before the event.

Join us for an unforgettable day of excitement, empowerment, and fun at the 4th Annual Youth Autocross, created especially for young people with disabilities.

Participants will navigate a custom race course in specially decorated golf carts while trained instructors provide a safe, supportive, and exciting ride for everyone.

Each confirmed participant will receive their own racing jumpsuit, a prize bag, and a commemorative medal to celebrate their achievement.

Beyond the track, food vendors and additional activities will be available for participants and families to enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this event ADA accessible?

Yes. Designated ADA parking will be available, and ADA-compliant, wheelchair-accessible golf carts will be provided so participants can fully experience the course or make their way around the event. Note: these golf carts only support non-electric wheelchairs.

Who can participate?

The Youth Autocross is designed for children and young adults with disabilities or special needs. Participants must register in advance, as space is limited. While the event is designed for children and young adults, there is no age restriction.

Are family members allowed to attend?

Yes! Family members are encouraged to attend, support participants, and enjoy the event’s additional activities.

How much does this event cost?

The Youth Autocross is free for all registered participants thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

Where is parking?

Limited parking is available in the grass lot south of The Underground and along Pennsylvania Avenue.

Can I volunteer for this event?

Yes! Volunteers are essential to making the event a success. If you have an interest in volunteering, please contact events@kansascityautomuseum.org.

What should I do if I can no longer attend?

If you are unable to attend, please let us know by emailing events@kansascityautomuseum.org or calling 913-322-4227. This allows us to offer your spot to another family.
