Kansas City Automotive Museum Kicks Off 2025
Cars & Coffee Season at Kansas Speedway
Kansas City, MO – April 14, 2025 – The Kansas City Automotive Museum (KCAM) launched its 2025 Cars & Coffee season on Saturday, April 5 at Kansas City Speedway, attracting car lovers from across the region for a chilly but electric morning of automotive excitement.
Despite temperatures in the low 40s, the season opener welcomed 472 show cars and approximately 250 spectators, all eager to reconnect with the local car community and celebrate the return of this highly anticipated series.
“This was an incredible way to start the season,” said Butch Papon, Curator of Exhibits & Collections at the Kansas City Automotive Museum. “Even with the cold weather, the enthusiasm was high, and we were thrilled to see so many familiar faces and new attendees.”

KCAM Cars & Coffee events are held on the first and third weekends of each month from April through October, providing an ongoing opportunity for car owners, collectors, and enthusiasts to gather, share, and showcase their vehicles in a casual, community-focused setting.
The Kansas City Automotive Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Kansas City’s pivotal role in the history of the automobile. Through educational programming, exhibits, and community events, KCAM serves audiences of all ages—from preschoolers to retirees—fostering a deep appreciation for the artistry, culture, engineering, and legacy of the automobile.
