When did you begin volunteering at KCAM?
About three years ago. I used to come to the Cars and Coffee a lot and decided I would like to help.

Why do you volunteer at KCAM?

I have always loved cars and this is a great way to be around them. I stay because the people at KCAM are all so nice and great to work with.

What was the first car you owned?
A 1940 Nash LaFayette (when I was 17).

What was your favorite car you’ve owned?
My current fun car – a 2008 Porsche Boxster RS60 Spyder. It’s a special edition car, number 24 of 1,960 made.

What is your dream car?
A newer Boxster GTS 4.0. But I wouldn’t want to give up the RS60 Spyder.

What is/was your profession?
I had a company where we developed online training programs for corporate clients, like Hallmark, H&R Block, Sprint locally, but clients all over the world. I still do some work when it comes up, but I don’t look for it.

What is your favorite movie and/or music group?
Classic rock, baby!

What is your favorite book/author?

I read a lot of David Baldacci, Donna Leon, Harlan Cobden, Louise Penny. Mystery murder solving books.

What is your favorite season?
Spring. But any time I can have the top down on my car.

What hobbies do you have outside of the automotive world?
I am a woodworker. I took this hobby up seriously 10 years ago when I didn’t have so many work responsibilities. I make furniture, cabinets, boxes, and mount old hood ornaments on wood bases. I sell these on Etsy.

What was your favorite place you’ve traveled?
Italy. I’ve been to most European countries and China, but Italy has always been a favorite.

What is your favorite food?
Only one? Can’t do it! Pasta, pizza, tacos, and seafood.

What’s something you’ve crossed off your bucket list?
Being able to attend the Goodwood Revival in England. Wonderful cars, great vintage races, and people dress in period clothes. Great fun!

What is your favorite holiday?
I like any holiday I can spend with my son and family in California.

What’s something you’re currently learning or wanting to learn?
3D printing and 3D software. You have to think a lot differently when designing with 3D software.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure or celebrity, who would it be?
John Kennedy to see what he thinks about how the world has changed in the past 60+ years.
