UG Operations Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Hours: Full Time In House (Salaried approx. 40+ daytime hours per week)
Salary: $55,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage four or more part-time staff members
- Execute the UG strategy and business plan
- Hire candidates as needed
- Manage facility improvements
- Provide Customer service to the Underground residents
- Contribute to sales goals and manage overall sales efforts
- Participate in team events with museum
- Participate in UG events

Education/Experience:
Staff management, project management, sales experience, car and mechanic knowledge, exemplary customer service, familiarity with non-profit fundraising efforts
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Computer Skills:
Use of Microsoft Office and basic understanding of databases
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, one may be required to attend some Museum events and participate in weekly meetings. Flexibility with vehicle owners is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level and allergens in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
